When the original Red and Blue games were released, Mewtwo was considered pretty much unbeatable. Its stats far surpassed anything else in the game, making him the strongest offensive fighter in the franchise at that point. Since then, hundreds of other species have come into the mix, including the addition of Dark type Pokemon which are super effective against Psychic types. With the inclusion of dozens of other legendary Pokemon with even beefier attacks, Mewtwo has all but been left behind in the dust. He was still good, but not great.
Fortunately, with the inclusion of Mega Evolution, Mewtwo is right back on top. Mewtwo Y and X are now tied with Mega Rayquaza (another Legendary beast of a Pokemon) with the highest base stats of 780. The Y version is especially powerful, with a mind-boggling special attack base stat of 194. Just to put that into perspective, the original Mewtwo only had a base stat of 154, and he was at one time considered the most powerful in the series! Even Arceus, the Pokemon God, only has a base stat total of 720, 60 points less than Mega Evolved Mewtwo. It says a lot when your power even surpasses that of a God.

The first Donkey Kong game was made to fill a spot in Nintendo's video game roster when a game based on the Popeye comic strip fell through. DK's creator Shigeru Miyamoto came up with the idea of doing a game with a love triange between a carpenter, his girlfriend and a gorilla be the story. Miyamoto came up with the nameDonkey Kong because he felt that "donkey" would translate into the sense of "stupid ape" in English. Ironically, that stupid ape was smart enough to know how to toss and roll barrels at Mario.

The Legend of Zelda wouldn’t exist if Miyamoto’s parents had kept a closer eye on him.Shigeru Miyamoto grew up in Sonobe, a small town located around a half-hour south of Kyoto. Miyamoto didn’t have many toys, and the family didn’t own a TV, so little Shigeru spent most of his days roving the countryside unsupervised. During his wandering he would often get lost and stumble onto unexpected things — including, on one portentous day, a deep dark hole. Now, most parents tend to try and keep their kids away from deep, dark pits, but Miyamoto’s weren’t around, so he grabbed a lantern, crawled in and discovered an entire miniature cave system. The sense of wonder and discovery Miyamoto experienced on his childhood adventures formed the spiritual basis of The Legend of Zelda. If Miyamoto’s parents had been just a little more worried about his daily whereabouts (or had owned a TV) there’s a good chance we wouldn’t have Link’s many adventures.
