If it wasn't for a delay in sending Daredevil #1 to the printer, The Avengers might never have existed. According to Marvel's Senior Vice President of Publishing, Tom Brevoort, when the publisher realized that the first issue of Daredevil wasn't going to be ready in time for its scheduled run at the printer, Stan Lee proposed the idea of bringing a bunch of existing Marvel characters together on the same team, much like DC had done with the Justice League of America. By doing so, they wouldn't need to create complicated origin stories for the individual members, thereby jumping right into whatever adventure Lee and Jack Kirby could come up with on short notice. The pair brainstormed for a while and came up with The Avengers, then hastily put together the first issue and sent it off to the printer. **

While Darabont was filming the pilot episode of The Walking Dead, some neighbors who lived close by to the set believed that the actor Michael Rooker (Merle Dixon) was actually a sniper and called in a real SWAT team to respond. Fortunately, everyone soon realized that a mistake had been made and so no one was arrested that day. You would assume that all of the TV cameras would have tipped the neighbors off, but it seems that there are still some people in the 21st century who aren’t aware of how TV shows are made. The Hulk was originally gray, not green. After exposure to a gamma radiation blast, scientist Bruce Banner turned into the gray-skinned Hulk from sunset to sunrise. However, the gray color was difficult to print and by issue No. 2 of "The Incredible Hulk" comic book series, Hulk turned into the hyperbolically muscled Green genes we know today.

The MCU isn’t afraid to go nonlinear in the future, as “Guardians” will be setting up events for the second “Avengers” sequel. The big bad villain for next year’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron” is the maniacal robot Ultron. Thanos will be the main antagonist for “Avengers 3″ and “Guardians” will be our first trip out into space, which is the main reason we’re being introduced to the Guardians this early on. Writer-director James Gunn has said as such himself, that it’s “definitely connected to Avengers 3.”
