If you’ve watched the first Thor movie (and read the comic if it says it in there too), Odin whispers to the hammer that if the wielder is worthy, they will be granted the power of Thor. Although he doesn’t lift it in the movie, Captain America is very much worthy and during a battle he lifted Thor’s hammer and managed to use it against his foes. Never has a level of awesomeness been so high.

While Stan Lee initially came up with the idea for a “quintessential capitalist” hero and many of the character's traits, he didn't write the story in Tales of Suspense #39 that introduced Iron Man to the world. A looming deadline forced him to hand over the scripting duties for that issue to Larry Lieber, and it was Lieber, cover artist Jack Kirby, and interior artist Don Heck who shared the bulk of creative duties for the issue. Kirby is credited with the design of Iron Man's first armor, while Heck is credited with the look of Tony Stark, Pepper Potts, and the other characters introduced inside the issue.

The Joker has to be the best super villain of all time. But Batman creator Bob Kane was ready to kill off the evil jester in his very first appearance. However, due to the fact the printer couldn’t provide a consistent gray color, the Hulk would change from gray to black to other shades of gray from page to page and panel to panel. In order to address the issue, Stan Lee choose to go with a color that would come off the printing press with fewer issues: the now-iconic green.

If it wasn't for a delay in sending Daredevil #1 to the printer, The Avengers might never have existed. According to Marvel's Senior Vice President of Publishing, Tom Brevoort, when the publisher realized that the first issue of Daredevil wasn't going to be ready in time for its scheduled run at the printer, Stan Lee proposed the idea of bringing a bunch of existing Marvel characters together on the same team, much like DC had done with the Justice League of America. By doing so, they wouldn't need to create complicated origin stories for the individual members, thereby jumping right into whatever adventure Lee and Jack Kirby could come up with on short notice. The pair brainstormed for a while and came up with The Avengers, then hastily put together the first issue and sent it off to the printer. **

While Darabont was filming the pilot episode of The Walking Dead, some neighbors who lived close by to the set believed that the actor Michael Rooker (Merle Dixon) was actually a sniper and called in a real SWAT team to respond. Fortunately, everyone soon realized that a mistake had been made and so no one was arrested that day. You would assume that all of the TV cameras would have tipped the neighbors off, but it seems that there are still some people in the 21st century who aren’t aware of how TV shows are made. As if the ‘walkers’ weren’t bad enough…
