DID YOU KNOW?
SOUND DESIGNER BEN BURTT CREATED A WHOLE NEW WORLD OF SOUNDS. Now-legendary sound designer Ben Burtt got his start on Star Wars fresh out of USC film school. He was tasked with coming up with a completely new and organic soundscape for the movie, which was at odds with the trend of creating intentionally electronic and “futuristic” sounds for sci-fi movies at the time. The first sound effect he created was Chewbacca’s voice, which is a blend of bear, lion, walrus, and badger vocalizations. R2-D2’s “voice” was made using loops on a synthesizer matched with beeps and boops modeled after baby coos performed by Burtt himself. Darth Vader’s infamous breathing was recorded by putting a microphone inside a regulator on a scuba tank. The Tusken Raider yowl is a mixture of mule sounds and people imitating mule sounds. The lightsaber whoosh was made by blending the hum of an idle 35mm film projector and passing a slightly broken microphone cable by the tubes of an old television set..

Since the trailer debuted, everyone's been trying to figure out what the shirt says, or if it's a logo of some kind. Unfortunately, the language on the shirt is one that none of us will be able to read any time soon. Chris Pratt was asked if he could translate the words on the shirt, and he revealed that it's got roots in a much deeper part of the galaxy. "Somebody can, because it’s a real language apparently. They’ve created a real alphabet, but it’s from - I think, I might be making this up – I think it’s from a candy wrapper from the first movie. This is like a space brand of some kind so it’s like on my shirt the way anyone would be wearing an ironic Reese’s Pieces shirt or something like that." If that's true, that t-shirt Easter Egg is a deep cut to the first film. Now, it's likely every big Guardians fan will rush home, pop in the Blu-Ray, and try to find the mysterious candy wrapper they didn't notice the first time around.

WHAT IS THE MOVIE ABOUT?
The year is 1926, and Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures. Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come and gone without incident, were it not for a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of some of Newt's fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds.

Batman movie have always drawn certain story elements from the comic books, but Batman v Superman is borrowing its thematic arc and tone from one of the most famous Batman stories there is. That story is “The Dark Knight Returns” by writer/author/filmmaker Frank Miller, whose work has been the inspiration for several esteemed comic book movies, including 300 and Batman Begins. “Dark Knight Returns” miniseries was released in 1986, and basically chronicles a story where a middle-aged Bruce Wayne re-dons the Batman suit after years in retirement, in order to free Gotham City from darker threats than it’s ever faced. When Batman’s activities anger those in power, the president deputizes Superman to bring The Dark Knight in, using any means necessary.

In Tim Burton's Batman, miscommunication between the costume department and prop department meant that Michael Keaton's cowl was too tall to fit inside the Batmobile. The car couldn't be adjusted, so Keaton's cowl had to be shortened.

According to Tom Hiddlestone, the codename for the avengers film in its early stages was 'Group Hug'. Incidentally, the codename used when discussing its release into cinemas was 'Team Building'.

Whenever you think “Hulk,” you think green. The two are intrinsically linked. Yet, when the Hulk first appeared in 1963, he was actually meant to be gray. However, due to the fact the printer couldn’t provide a consistent gray color, the Hulk would change from gray to black to other shades of gray from page to page and panel to panel. In order to address the issue, Stan Lee choose to go with a color that would come off the printing press with fewer issues: the now-iconic green.

Wade Wilson is a former test subject of the Weapon X program, possessing a regenerative healing factor (like that of Wolverine), as well as an unstable compiling of other "Weapon X" experiments. Deadpool's powers and personality traits combine to make a wild, mentally unstable, and unpredictable mercenary. Deadpool is a former member of X-Force, a self-professed member of the X-Men and Avengers and has recently joined the Thunderbolts. The "Merc with a Mouth" is infamous for breaking the fourth wall.

The Hulk was originally gray, not green. After exposure to a gamma radiation blast, scientist Bruce Banner turned into the gray-skinned Hulk from sunset to sunrise. However, the gray color was difficult to print and by issue No. 2 of "The Incredible Hulk" comic book series, Hulk turned into the hyperbolically muscled Green genes we know today.

Growing up Steve  Rogers, a weak and sickly boy in a poor family, he suffered the loss of his  father when he was a youngster, and then his mother when he was a teen. Spurred  by wartime propaganda, he tried to enlist in the army, only to fail due to his  physical inadequacies. However, one dose of super soldier serum later and… We have Captain America, the All-American hero, as American as apple pie. Cap  hasn’t always been on good terms with America. He’s lost faith in the USA more  than once. In the 70’s Marvel played out events echoingthat of the Watergate  scandal. This led to a new costume and name, the Nomad.During this era he became  known as the ‘Man Without a Country’. Then in the late 90’s after losing  faith in the American Government, he loses the patriotism from his name and is  known simply as, The Captain.

Editor-in-chief Jim Shooter was the one to suggest that G.I. Joe was a team rather than the name of a particular person.
