OFFICIAL MARVEL COMICS IRON MAN LARGE MASK RED T-SHIRT

DID YOU KNOW?
The Mandarin Almost Appeared in the First ‘Iron Man’. An early script for the first ‘Iron Man’ movie featured the Mandarin, but director Jon Favreau killed the idea because he thought the character was too “fantastical.” Instead, Stark is captured in the beginning of the flick by a terrorist group known as the Ten Rings, which is a direct reference to the supervillain’s rings of power. It also provides a nifty bit of continuity for the third ‘Iron Man’ installment

MARVEL'S THE INVINCIBLE IRON MAN GREY RETRO T-SHIRT

DID YOU KNOW?
While Stan Lee initially came up with the idea for a “quintessential capitalist” hero and many of the character's traits, he didn't write the story in Tales of Suspense #39 that introduced Iron Man to the world. A looming deadline forced him to hand over the scripting duties for that issue to Larry Lieber, and it was Lieber, cover artist Jack Kirby, and interior artist Don Heck who shared the bulk of creative duties for the issue. Kirby is credited with the design of Iron Man's first armor, while Heck is credited with the look of Tony Stark, Pepper Potts, and the other characters introduced inside the issue.

AWESOME MARVEL'S IRON MAN GOLD HELM T-SHIRT

DID YOU KNOW?

When Tony Stark is kidnapped and forced into a cave in the beginning of the first Iron Man film, we as an audience are so wrapped up in what is going on that we focus quite solely on Tony. When Tony finally puts on the suit and takes to dispatching his captors we're looking so closely at what he's doing we fail to notice who exactly he punched in the face and sent flying across the cave. That person was none other than Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello, who is a friend of director Jon Favreau. Listed in the credits simply as “Guard,” Morello has the honor of being the first person that Tony Stark sucker punchers in his newly invented Iron Man armor. Morello also contributed guitar parts for the film and its sequel. Check out that sequence from the film below.
